- The operator of a money transfer system via mobile phones - SEP Bulgaria (subsidiary of Advance Equity Holding), successfully completed the technical trials with the BNB systems. After an approval by the National Bank, SEP Bulgaria was included in RINGS as a new system operator.
- Karoll Financial Group opened its new head office on 1 Zlatovrah str., Lozenets, Sofia.
- For a 7th consecutive year Karoll Brokerage tops the league for greatest number of trades on BSE. For a third year in a row Karoll won the prize for "Investment intermediary of the year" by Banker Newspaper.
- In September 2008 Advance TerraFund REIT successfully completed its 5th capital increase whereby the company raised BGN 78 million - the largest fund raising event on the local market in 2008. International Financial Corporation (IFC) - member of the World Bank - joined as one of the main shareholders.
- Karoll Brokerage created a new trading platform - Karoll Dealing. The platform enables FX margin trades and CFD on equities, indices, commodities and bonds.
