Karoll Brokerage reports 125% turnover growth | Q1 2014

Karoll Brokerage's transactions worth EUR 20.7 mln for Q1 2014, taking into account 125% growth in turnover compared to the same period last year.

For the first quarter of 2014 SOFIX (Bulgaria Stock Exchange's first official index) reported an increase of 22%, which increased BSE's volume of trading. Financial instruments totaling EUR 370 mln were traded on BSE in Q1 2014, which is an increase of 32% over the same quarter of 2013.

Karoll Brokerage reported that deals concluded by the intermediary on a regulated market doubled in the first quarter of 2014 on a y-o-y basis. The firm's clients' contracts numbered 25 510 against 96 820 transactions on the BSE or 26.34% of the total number of transactions on a regulated market for the same period. Bulgarian Stock Exhcange - Sofia AD reported 74% growth in terms of number of transactions in Q1 2014 compared to the same period last year.
