According to a rating made by the site Investor.bg Advance Terrafund REIT has the largest free-float from the liquid companies traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia (BSE) excluding several ex-privatization funds. The large volume of free-traded shares – 86.8% - represents the total volume of shares in the hands of shareholders, who directly hold below 5% of the company’s capital. The more free-float a public company has, the bigger is its liquidity. As a result of the bigger liquidity the traded volume of the shares of Advance Terrafund REIT for the past six months is 11 200 000 BGN (EUR 5 726 000). This is to a large extent due to intensified interest from international investors who already own 38% of the capital. From the beginning of 2007 the share price has jumped with over 52%. A big part of the share price increase is thanks to the success of the company connected with the acquisition of good-quality land, its further consolidation and leasing to farmers. Advance Terrafund REIT is the biggest lessor in the country with over 6 600 ha of agriland so far. In reference to the direct subsidies of 14 BGN/decar (71.6 EUR/ha) arable land there is a strong interest from farmers to rent farmland. The plans of the company include until 2007-end to own about 23 000 ha land.
